Brandon Vining

Brandon ViningA Certified Crop Consultant and Mountain West Region Farm Manager for Homestead Capital. Mr. Vining was formerly a Certified Crop Adviser at Simplot, where he was responsible for consulting with growers across the region on fertilizer and chemical needs. He has deep experience working with a broad range of crops including potatoes, sugar beets, barley, wheat, corn, and alfalfa. Mr. Vining received his B.S. in Botany from Idaho State University.

  • Worked for RSA MicroTech 1999-2001 as a Territory Manager in the Upper Midwest Territory. (Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin)
  • Worked as a Crop Advisor for Simplot Grower Solutions 1999-2015

  • Top Seed Sales Award in 2005 and 2009

  • Currently hold a Statewide Consulting License for Idaho
  • Started own private Consulting business ProGro Consulting in 2016

 

Mr. Vining has a deep understanding of most potato cropping systems currently used in the United States. He has a vast knowledge of potato diseases, deficiencies, and insect symptoms. In addition, he has been involved in the potato production business for 25 plus years and has been involved on both sides of the potato production seed and commercial production.
