Philip Washington

Beef & Dairy Expert

Background

Philip has spent his life farming & ranching in Texas & brings eight generations of experience to the table. He believes achieving food security in Mauritania is possible by continuously improving local beef & dairy cattle herds through modern artificial insemination & embryo transfer techniques.

Importing straws & embryos from the U.S. drastically reduces transit risk & overall costs. Philip is a part of the AgriGen international team that leans on the integrated agricultural ecosystem of several companies that manage cattle from pregnancy to plate.

Robinson Genetics owns some of the highest performing sires & dams on earth. CowSync digitally manages the herd & forecasts pairing outcomes up to five generations in advance, driving toward herd goals. Topwater Cattle Co. manages over $50m in a heifer retention program across the U.S. while Sainfoin Feeds is at the forefront of high-performance custom nutrition at every stage of the cattle production lifecycle (beef & dairy). AgriGen’s team has engaged in projects across the U.S., South America, Africa, & the Caspian. Our collaborative approach is intended to build a sustainable local platform where AgriGen ultimately acts as consultants when our clients need additional input.
